O

P
PANTOTHENIC ACID (B5)
Potential Benefits of B5:
  • Helps body process fats, proteins, carbohydrates, and amino acids (needed for energy)

  • Balances hormones thereby reducing stress, anxiety and depression (key in production of dopamine)
  • Keeps the human heart in normal working condition by regulating the level of cholesterol and helping to control blood pressure.

  • Reduces body fatigue and weariness
  • Strenghtens immune system (helps body fight infection)
  • Enhances hemoglobin level in human body. Assists liver in metabolizing toxic substances. Fuels cell division and DNA reproduction

Helpful Hints:
  • If you eat a lot of processed foods, you may be deficient in B5

P5P (B6)
Potential benefits of B6/P5P:
  • Improves the body's use of protein, carbohydrates, and fat (helps body create more energy from food)

  • May have a calming effect because it converts glutamate to GABA
  • Promotes healthy cardiovascular, nervous, and immune systems

  • Supports normal red-blood-cell formation, homocysteine levels, and may lower blood cholesterol
  • Important for healthy nerve and muscle functioning

  • If your child has chronic bacterial issues or high glutamate, you may want to use really low levels
  • Large doses for several months can cause severe sensory neuropathy
  • Look for the P5P form of B6 because it is easier for your child to utilize and you can give it in lesser amounts
