CANDIDA ALBICANS (YEAST)

WHAT IS CANDIDA ALBICANS?
  • A systemic fungal infection (yeast infection)
Candida is typically found in the intestinal tract, mouth, throat, and genitals, however, it can burrow holes in the intestinal tract, enter the blood stream, and then make its way into any organ of the body. It emits over 70 different toxins into the body.

WHAT CONTRIBUTES TO CANDIDA?
  • Stress
  • Poor diet (full of sugar and processed food void of any nutritional value)
  • A weakened immune system
  • Weakened adrenals
  • A body that is too acidic
Problems occur when the balance of bacteria in the body is upset, allowing the yeast organism to proliferate and take over all the healthy microorganisms.

SYMPTOMS OF CANDIDA:
  • Spacey or foggy feeling
  • Mood swings (uncontrollable laughter or aggression)
  • Poor memory
  • Insomnia
  • Fatigue
  • Diarrhea or constipation
  • Vaginal discharge, burning, itching
  • Muscle aches, weakness
  • Pain or swelling of joints
  • Thrush
  • Rectal itching
  • Hyperactivity
  • Anxiety

PRESCRIPTION ANTI-FUNGALS:

  • Nystatin
  • Diflucan (Fluconazole)
  • Nizoral (Ketoconazole)

Relying solely on prescription anti-fungals is not the answer for the majority of candida sufferers.  Current anti-fungals are becoming less effective. There is a continuous quest for stronger anti-fungals because of candida's ability to mutate. It is critical to lay a healthy foundation. Otherwise, anti-fungal therapy will be a continuous vicious cycle of disappointment.

ALTERNATIVE ANTI-FUNGAL TREATMENTS:
  • Olive leaf extract
  • Coconut oil (caprylic acid, capric acid, lauric acid)
  • Grapefruit seed extract
  • Black Walnut
  • Garlic
  • Probiotics
  • Candex
  • Echinacea
  • Monolaurin/Lauricidin
  • Biotin
  • Deglycyrrhizinated licorice (DGL)
  • Digestive enzyme supplements
  • Glucosamine
  • Molybdenum
  • N-acetylglucosamine (NAG)
  • Olive oil
  • Pau d’Arco
  • Psyllium husk and seed powder

It is important to rotate anti-fungals. Fungi can become resistant to natural substances as well. Switch to a new natural anti-fungal every month.

YEAST MANAGEMENT
Yeast Management 1.800.405.2827 or email Trsproducts@embarqmail.com. They will give a discount if you mention your child has autism. With discount, the price is $39.95 a jar and $8.95 shipping.

When Molly started using it for Annie, she saw an incredible burst in language and social skills. In addition, she saw a big improvement in her bowel issues.  When Leah started the product with Brody, she too saw a burst in language and noticed that his tongue was no longer white (i.e., covered with yeast).

Our kids did not experience die off from using the product. But we believe this is because they had been eating a “clean diet” for over four years before introducing the Yeast Management.

If you start it, we strongly recommend going really slow to minimize die off. Start with a ¼ teaspoon, once a day, mixed with a tiny bit of water (Molly squirts it in Annie’s mouth with a syringe and Brody just drinks it for himself).

If you are seeing good things, then continue to increase the dose by a 1/4 teaspoon every week and work your way up to 1 tablespoon. We are not doctors. We are just telling you about what we did. Please don’t take this as medical advice.

By the way, if you order the Yeast Management, you will see on the label that it contains sugar and vinegar. Don’t be concerned. First of all, it contains a very small amount of sugar/vinegar. Second, the sugar/vinegar is what baits the yeast. The yeast eat the product and then "blow up" (excuse the "mom lingo") from the inside out. That's why the product works so well.

The Yeast Connection  http://www.yeastconnection.com/fighting_diet.html

TREATMENT PLAN:
The right combination of supplements and diet can support and maintain a healthy balance of naturally occurring microorganisms throughout the body. It can also help strengthen the immune system and maintain general good health. To address yeast-related health conditions, make sure supplements are yeast-free, sugar-free, and color-free.
  • Eliminate sugars and processed foods  - This will help to reduce yeast overgrowth. (Remember, fruits and high carbohydrate foods can also feed yeast.)
  • Probiotics - Contain friendly bacteria that help you keep a natural, healthy balance of microorganisms in your digestive tract. To be effective, they must be able to bypass the harsh stomach acid and deliver at least 1 billion live organisms to the intestines. (Brody takes a probiotic with 50 billion live cultures per capsule.)
  • Digestive enzymes - Help maintain a natural, healthy digestion.
  • Herbs and nutrients - Inhibit the growth of Candida albicans by supporting a healthy balance of intestinal bacteria.
  • Vitamins and minerals - Vitamin and mineral supplements help supply the body with the nutrients it needs to help regain optimum health.

HERXHEIMER REACTION (Die Off Reaction)
This happens when you kill the yeast too quickly and the body is overwhelmed with the toxins and yeast cells. It is important to set up a proper framework before going after the yeast to lessen the die off reaction.
